It could work if done properly. But that can be quite a process.

I spent an hour clearing ice and frozen snow off mine.
Glad I didn't get the cars out of storage this weekend but next weekend were supposed to be in the double digits.

Brazing them works better than welding. It can be done well if someone has the skills.

We'll have to wait a see just what we actually have when Tony can get the manifold off (I hope without breaking any bolts or studs).
The manifold can't be seen all that well because of all the pollution equipment covering that side of the engine.

I just talked to Tony on the phone and he is working on my car. What he is doing is removing the
inner fender (which is cracked by the way). He wants to see if he can see where the leak is without
having to remove the pollution equipment but I think he will have to do that to get the manifold off.
I'm going down to his shop in the morning. He might have something by then.

All Tony has done so far is remove the inner fender. He has to take care of his regular customers as well.
This morning they were replacing the Em brake cables on a Silverado pickup.
I told him I'm not in a hurry for it as long as it's done by the end of May. He's going to let me use his
shop so I can recolour my vinyl top.
The only thing after that is to pull the bumpers so I can replace the corner filler pieces on the right side.

Pam's sister just came by to show us her new car, a loaded 2018 ATS sedan. It's kind of a bluish silver
with platinum coloured leather. When she picked it up the odometer has a whole 12 miles on it.
She's always has decent taste in cars but this is by far the nicest, even nicer than the yellow 1968
IROC Camero she had back in '68.

Awesome! I hope you get to spend some seat time in that car. It is small, but loaded with a lot of cool toys. And even with the base engine, they really run.

I got a surprise email from Rene yesterday. He is giving me an exhaust manifold for my Eldorado.
He is going to send it out UPS this week. I'm paying the shipping. A very decent gesture indeed !
I can't thank him enough.
