Hey folks!! Bill here from Stratford Ontario. New to the Cadillacs but I've been a gear head my whole life. The project is a 1955 Series 62 four door. The original engine is mostly missing so we have a 472/500 engine and T400 trans to go in. The floors and rockers are going to need a bunch of work but the body is very solid and all the trim is there. Should be a nice cruiser!! Bill

Hi Bill!
Welcome to our little group! Geez, you're just down the road from me too!
A 472 in a '55. Man that will be a nice runner! Got pics?

Thanks!! Its pretty tough right now, but it seems to be a good starting place!! It sat in grass for years and that ate the floors. It still has original paint!!! Bill

I have the wife's 72 Nova in the garage now, just needs paint. We have just started our own business in July and the cash is a bit tight right now so the project is on hold. I am hoping to get some colour on the Nova before summer though and then start on the Caddy.
I have a better front bumper but the rear bumper end have the usual rust through. WOW are they pricey!!!

new business, eh? what are you doing? I can understand that cash is tight, but once you get going, that shouldn't be a problem.
Yes, those rear bumper ends are a lot of $$$. They were very common to rust through, given the acids that the exhaust contained back in the old leaded premium days.

Welcome aboad Bill. You are very close. Make sure you check out the thread on the Fleetwood Cruize in. That's a nice looking Caddy. You sure have your work cut out for you, but that will be a very nice ride with a 472.
Cheers Gareth

Hey Mike, Our company (Cleaning Under Prerssure) specializes in cleaning hard surfaces like tile and grout, cement and we also do carpet. It is getting busier so hopefully we should have more Caddy cash soon!!! Gareth, I will check out the cruise thread. I haven't ever taken on a project this big before so hopefully it goes good!! Bill That's good. Starting a business is always a tough go. Hoping that it pans out for you. That business is increasing, that is a good sign. Do you do commercial, residential or both? Mike

You do what you have to do. I would suspect commercial accounts could be a bit more lucrative, though.
Get that cash to get the Cadillac on the road!
