I noticed that the metal panel at the back of my car between the rear edge of the trunk lid and the vinyl top lower moulding
is rusting. A short strip of the paint is rough under the paint and the rust extends under the trim moulding.
I'm not sure if this panel is removable. I would like to remove it then get it cleaned and repainted.
Does anyone know if it is removable ? If it isn't then I suppose the roof trim will have to come off.

If it's the piece I'm thinking of its spot welded to the quarter panels on both ends.

Not sure if it is spot welded or not. If it's like the D-Car, it's held in with a few small screws, but the vinyl has to be lifted for it to come out.

Tony will be in Florida until Monday so I'll have wait until he gets back to have a look at it.
I've looked at it several times when washing and cleaning the car but never to see how
it was installed.
