I got the use of a 2017 ATS for a few hours today. I'm in the dark ages when it comes to state of the art cars. But I do admit I had a lot of fun with this car. AWD 2.0 Turbo. It scoots. And cornering? It would make Colin Chapman blush. Features? I need a month of Sundays to figure it all out. It was too small for me, it was pretty rough riding. But all in all, I had a blast with it. It's nice to be brought up to speed from time to time

Based on the web specifications, it has the Luxury package plus a few individual options.  MagneRide is still not available on AWD ATS models.  Turns out it does have the 8L45!  Did you evaluate any WOT upshifts?  The RWD 2017 CTS 2.0T loaner I got to drive felt like it had a Stage 2 shift kit at WOT!  I wonder if resetting the shift-adapt parameters would have restored normality.  Did you adapt to the stop-start system or did you find the disable button?  Smiley

I did stuff my foot into it from a stop. WOT shifts were seamless. It's actually quite bizarre. It sounds like you're shifting a manual, but the progression of power is seamless.

I did find the find the disable button for the stop-start. I adapted to it. Gail thought it was odd, though. But sitting at an extended red lamp, it was quite different. However, if you sat too long, the AC dictated that the engine restart. So you're sitting at a traffic light. The engine shuts down. Then as you're sitting there, the engine restarts. And, there isn't a starter. All of a sudden the engine is running again.

The stop start is seamless. Once your food comes off the brake and onto the gas, the engine is running again. And you pull away.
