Jon was wearing one of these on Saturday. I noted that I saw an add on Facebook for them. Here it is...

I like the part where it says "designed and printed in the USA". I went to the Hanes site, and they sell direct to public for ~$5 USF and that's before asking for a wholesale price.  These are good looking shirts (from the pic) but drastically overpriced.

Just my $0.02

Yeah, maybe they are. But if you want it, you'll pay for it. But typically these shirts if they are of good quality go for around these prices. It's not the shirt you're buying, but what's on it.

Yeah, I can buy good quality t-shirts all day long for $5 too, but there is no silk screening.

I don't care for the vertical printing. It's too large and bold for my taste. If it were smaller and under the Cadillac
crest I'd get  couple of them. $25 is a bit much for a "T" shirt but any "T" shirt with printing on it will be that price.
The bonus is that it's North American made.

I wrote to Hanes and this was their response to "are the t-shirts made in the USA"

Quote
Dear Customer,

We are a Global Manufacturer, and utilize production in many different countries to meet capacity and sales demands.  Therefore, we are unable to provide your request for Country of Origin.  We trust you understand we value you as a customer and want to be consistent in quality and value to you.  Therefore, we utilize the same Quality and Garments Specifications, regardless of the Country of Origin.

Sincerely,
Jenny

I like the look of the shirt - except for the crewneck part (I prefer V-necks); but I am so tired of off shore sourcing.  As an artist who constantly gets asked why my mugs/cups/plates etc. cost more than Wallymort, I guess I have a raw nerve when I see advertising meant to fool the consumer.

Thanks for letting me vent.
