Hi Everyone - it's that time of year again

The 1st weekend of June is the FCCI on Steve Plunkett's estate. Last year, on Saturday alone, there were over 4500 (yes, you read that right!) cars entered into the show. Here's the link
http://www.fleetwoodcountrycruizein.com/ Any of our new members should make it a point to attend this show. There's no other show (parked) like this on grass anywhere else in Ontario that I'm aware of. Because Steve collects Cadillacs (hence the name of his property is Fleetwood) he has a soft spot for our club, and we of one of only a select few allowed to set up the day before the show starts. When you see the magnitude of this show with your own eyes, you will appreciate the huge advantage this gives our club.
Mike has asked me to co-ordinate this year's event as I live less than 20 minutes from Steve. I've been in contact with Mr. P., and we're back at our usual spot near the north bridge on the east side. Set up is June 5th, and we need to be gone by 3 p.m. And he means 3 p.m., so if you can't come out Friday on time, you'll need to let us know you will definitely be there on Saturday and/or Sunday, and we'll rope off the appropriate area we require.
Last year we discussed putting the club banner up on poles rather than hanging from our tents, which blocks the view both onto the show, and shields us from people that might feel intimidated to approach us and join our group. Several members had good ideas of how to build the banner holder - but I don't know if anyone actually created one. Please contact me if you have made one, and if no one gets back to me, I'll start contacting you <g> I don't have the skills needed to build it, or I'd do it myself. I have the club tents in my toybox. As with any car show, bring your own chair(s).
There is plenty of food etc. for sale on site, but the lineups can be long. It's probably best to bring your own food/drink and PLEASE, no open drinking of alcohol. This is a family oriented show, and there will be a lot of children poking here and there, and usually lots of questions.
I have 2 guest rooms available - one with a queen bed, and one with a single that opens to a king. First 2 parties to contact me can have these rooms. We also have a large area on site you can camp on if you have a tent (we call it our front lawn, city folk beg to differ - it's about 1/4 acre in area). Please don't pee in the pond. The bass don't like it - and we like our bass. Bring your own poles if you wish to fish for your dinner (that's why you DON'T pee in the pond).
Any questions or concerns or suggestions? Please post and I'll do my best to answer/help out.

Sam
