I had 3 show flyers left in my car in Paris yesterday and was wondering if any of you Kitchener area folks have been to them. Would they be worth my
while to drive that far ?

1  Sunday June 14 "Graffitti 2015" show at Waterloo Rod and Gun Club in St. Jacobs.

2  Sunday July 19   Cruizer's Car Club Show N Shine at the Bennett GM dealership on Hespeler Rd Cambridge 11 am - 3 pm.

3  Saturday August 29 at the Sysco food plant in Woodstock 10 am - 2 pm.

Woodstock, Cambridge and Kitchener etc really aren't that far to go but highway time gobbles up the gas and at $1.16 litre that adds up rather quickly.
Doing Fleetwood and Paris this weekend I blew through 3/4 tank of gas and spent $60 to refill in Ancaster at $1.09 litre. It's that cheap there because of
the nearby Costco.

I've been to the show at the Waterloo Rod and Gun Club. It's put on by a local car club and it is a decent show.

The others? I can't say for certain. But the one at Bennett's may be interesting.

If any club members are thinking of attending Bennett's then I would go too.
I would need directions on how to get there.

I just looked in on Goderich's events.

There is a beach cruise on June 24, called the Circle City Beach Cruise.

Their Memories Then and Now Cruise is on July 18. That's the one held on the square.

Sundays are tough for me but if it's close to home then I might be able to go.
I plan on going to the Memories then and now in Goderich if anyone else is going.

The one in Goderich is close to when I'm going on holidays the end of July, but that is my 2-day weekend, so I won't be going. I remember last year, I got there at gate opening time, but was almost relegated to park way down a side street. I protested and got a spot on the square. I spoke to a few other attendees on the square, and they had lined up as early a 6:30 in the morning. Also the line to register was ridiculously long. I stood in that line for a good half hour.

So keep that in mind if you plan to be there.

Pam and I have been going to Hamilton's weekly Pier 4 cruise nights for the better part of 6 or 7 years and all of a sudden this year my car is too new to be
allowed in ? New rules-  1980 or older please. What gives ?

Maybe they were getting too big? New people in charge? But in any event, that's not right.

I believe there are new people running it now. Prior to this there were no restrictions that I know of. It was open to anybody. That could be the reason for
the changes. There were a lot of new Camaros, Challengers, Mustangs and the like that would show up and by 6:30 the park was filled to overflowing.
I don't know the capacity of the park but it can easily hold maybe 200 or more cars.
Most weekly cruises are open to anyone. Not many have any age restrictions but those that do the cut off year is usually 1985.

I have 2 phone numbers that I got from the website. I may give one a call and ask why the changes were made.

I can only assume it is because there was a pile of mustangs with big mufflers, chargers with nice paint jobs, all new. And oh gawd all the newer corvettes. They would all show up early and then I would see 40's and 50's original cars turned away. Ronnie got caught up in the sweep to get rid of the new cars. I wanted, and planned, to go last night but got side tracked by real life, again.

You have to draw the cut off line somewhere, possibly 1990 or even 1995 but 1980 is ridiculous. Pier 4 is a cruise we really like because it only takes 15-20
minutes in rush hour traffic to get to the park.

RON
I just called one of the organizers for Pier 4 and he said it was the city who put up the restrictions. The restrictions came about from complaints to the city
from people being turned away from the park because there were no more spaces available. Many of those spaces were taken up by new cars that really
had no business being there because they were new cars.
He feels the same way I do about the cut off year but can't really do anything about it. He will talk to his partner about it and will try to have the rules
changed. I might even call the alderman for that area who was also in on the changes.
Ken asked me if my car could pass for a 1980 Eldorado. It could except for the different grille. He suggested waiting a couple of weeks and try again then
say my car is a 1980. If they ask for proof then I'm screwed.

What the hell does the city know about this sort of thing? Ask for input from the organizers? I guess that's just a bit too logical for the councilors to comprehend. That's a minimum age of 35 years old.

Maybe you can get some action from the alderman.
